For the sauce

  • 2 tbs soy sauce
  • 2 tbs apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 1/2 tbs brown sugar

For the stir-fry

  • 180g Soy meat (Dried 60g)
  • 3 tbs cornstarch
  • 2 tbs water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper
  • 2 tbs vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch square
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch square
  • 1/2 onion, cut into 1-inch square
  • 1 cup pineapple, chopped
  • 1/4 cup vegetable broth


Cook soy meat according to package directions.
Combine cornstarch, salt, white pepper, and water. Add soy meat into the cornstarch mixture and toss to coat.
In a medium-sized saucepan, heat the oil to 180°C.
Deep fry the soy meat for about 3-4 minutes until the coating is golden brown. Set aside.
Combine all the sauce ingredients and mix well. Set aside.
Heat 2 tbs oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and fry until fragrant.
Add red and green bell peppers, onion, and pineapple. Cook and stirring until vegetables are softened about 3 minutes.
Add the sauce and vegetable broth. Bring the mixture to a boil.
Add the soy meat to the skillet and coat everything evenly with the sauce.
